Kea Promotion at Queenstown Airport
Christmas and Summer promotions were interconnected at Queenstown Airport last month with a bunch of cheeky 'Keas' swooping from the ceilings throughout the terminal building. Looking festive with their Santa hats, red vests, and garlands of berries, the Keas were popular with kids, tourists and locals.
For summer the Keas loose their hats and vests, and the green summer foliage showcases bunches of grapes and vines to feature our strong wine-growing region.
Keas are a NZ Native Bird, known for their cheeky habit of foraging at tourist camp-sites.
